Vision Statement
"To know the Messiah Yeshua, and to make Him Known, in Cleveland. To the Jew first, and also to the non-Jew.” Romans 1:16
What We Believe
We believe in the inspiration and inerrancy of the Word of God, with Torah as the foundation for both the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures (Tanakh and New Covenant). We accept these Scriptures, the Complete Bible, as authoritative in our lives. In accordance with the Scripture, God sent his son Yeshua, Jesus the Messiah, to atone for the sins of His people, to the Jews first, and to all whom profess Yeshua to be Lord. As a member of the IAMCS, we subscribe to the MJAA standards for Messianic Congregations as follows:
The Bible:
consisting of the Tenach (Old Covenant/Testament) and the later writings commonly known as the B’rit Hadasha (New Testament/Covenant), is the only infallible and authoritative word of God. We recognize its divine inspiration, and accept its teachings as our final authority in all matters of faith and practice (Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Proverbs 3:1-6; Psalm 119:89, 105; Isaiah 48:12-16; Romans 8:14-17; II Timothy 2:15, 3:16-17).

God is one יְהוָה אֶחָד
We believe that there is one Eternal God, absolute and unparalleled in His unity. His "Echad" or Oneness is unlike any other kind of "Unity", He is eternally existent in three persons: Father הָאָב , Son הַבֵּן , and Holy Spirit וְרוּחַ הַקֹּדֶשׁ׃ (see Isaiah 48:16). We believe in the deity of the Son of God, Yeshua the Messiah, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious, substitutionary, and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. God is perfect and HE is the source of all creation and the Author of life. God is non-corporeal, nor affected by any physical occurrences, such as movement, or rest, or dwelling. He is omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient (Psalm 139:7-10). He alone is God and there is none other, and no other "gods or idols" may be worshipped.

Israel God's People:
We believe in God’s end-time plan for the nation of Israel and for the world. A central part of Messianic Judaism is the belief in the physical and spiritual restoration of Israel, as taught in the Scriptures. The greatest miracle of our day has been the re-establishment or rebirth of the State of Israel according to prophecy (Ezek. 34:11-31; 36-39; Hos. 3; Amos 9:11-15; Zech. 12-14; Isa. 11; 43; 54; 60-62; 66; Rom. 11:1-34).

Messianic Judaism:
We recognize that Jewish people (physical descendants of Abraham through Isaac and Jacob, whether through the mother’s or the father’s blood-line) who place their faith in Israel’s Messiah, Yeshua, continue to be Jewish according to the Scriptures (Rom. 2:28-29). Gentiles who place their faith in Yeshua, are “grafted into” the Jewish olive tree of faith (Rom. 11:17-25) becoming spiritual sons and daughters of Abraham (Gal. 3:28-29). We observe and celebrate the Jewish Holy Days given by God to Israel, with their fulfillment in and through the Messiah Yeshua. We believe that true “Biblical Judaism,” the faith of first century believers, which we seek to practice, acknowledges the continuity of faith in the one true God, revealed throughout the Scriptures, and ultimately manifested in God’s Son, Yeshua the Messiah. We believe that salvation has always been “by faith,” and that works of law, or righteous acts, have never saved anyone (Gen. 15:6; Rom. 2-6; Eph. 2:8-9; Heb. 11:6, 39). We acknowledge that the New Covenant body of believers is composed of both Jews and Gentiles who have received Yeshua the Messiah as the Promised Redeemer. The “middle wall of partition” has been broken down and now we worship the God of Israel together (I Cor. 12:13; Eph. 2:13-14).

Divine Reward & Retribution:
We believe in divine reward and retribution (see Daniel 12:2-3) that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit וְרוּחַ הַקֹּדֶשׁ׃ is not only absolutely necessary but also essential for Eternal Life. Titus 3:5 We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Believer is enabled to live a goodly life. We believe in the arrival of the Messiah; the RESURRECTION of the dead, and the messianic era which will follow; and all Believers, whether Jewish or Gentile, in the Lord Yeshua the Messiah. Jews and Gentiles are joint heirs in Yeshua being grafted-in together in the covenant by this Faith. (see Romans 11)

The results of our faith: "How We Live":
Jewish followers of Yeshua are called to maintain our Jewish biblical heritage and remain a part of our people and in the universal body of Believers. This is part of our identity and a witness to the faithfulness of God. We accept God's call to become Mamlechet Kohanim v'Goy Kadosh (a Kingdom of Priests and a Holy Nation), serving the Lord our God, with wholehearted obedience. Exodus 19:5-6, 1 Peter 2:5,9. We commit to gathering regularly on Shabbat and Holy Days for corporate worship, prayer, and study of God's Word, in order to grow in holiness and to apply scriptural truth to our everyday lives. Exodus 20:8-11, 31:12-13; Deuteronomy 5:12-15 Our desire is to be a place of worship, fellowship, and service that is distinctively Jewish. We facilitate God's appointed Feasts, Mikvah (Baptism), Bar/Bat Mitzvah preparation and other life events as rites of passage for transmitting Torah as a lasting heritage from generation to generation. Deuteronomy 6:4-9, Matthew 22:36-40 - Non-Jews are welcomed into our fellowship as full members without being required to "convert to Judaism" as outlined by the Jewish Apostles in (Acts 15:19-35) Tikvat Yisrael Messianic Synagogue affirms and defines marriage as between one man and one woman; each male and female at the time of their birth and remains so, according to our traditions, practices and understanding of Biblical standards and ideals.

How god speaks נְּבִיאִים:
G-d communicates with man through prophecy. "God, does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets." (Amos 3:7). Moses was the first and greatest of all the Prophets of Israel, he also said one is coming after himself that must be obeyed and followed (Deut. 18:15-19). We believe that Yeshua of Nazareth is the Messiah and the Prophet who fulfills this direct prophecy of Moses. Furthermore, Yeshua is the Son of God, and the Son is greater than all of the Prophets. (Hebrews 3:5-6)
