I received an update from Penial Learning Center. They are a small messianic school in Israel that is facing pressure from the Ministry of Education to possibly close them down. The email is as follows: Shalom Brett, Thank you so much for your prayers for us, particularly as we are facing this current struggle with the Ministry of Education. If you know of our situation that perhaps you read the articles that were published on the ALL ISRAEL NEWS website here and here. If you have not read them yet, these articles will give you a fuller picture of our situation. As a follow-up to these articles, we have finally succeeded in submitting all of the permits to the Ministry of Education for our request for a license to run our kindergarten. Our request is now in committee for consideration. We would appreciate your prayers for a favorable decision. The license for our school, however, is a much bigger and complicated situation. The deadline for making a request is July 1st but there is no possible way that we can meet all of the their demands by that date. So we are praying for a miracle and for favor that the Min. of Ed. would allow us an extension and even let us continue operating the school in the fall as we pursue the licensing. We appreciate your prayers for this matter as well. Thank you for sharing these needs with your congregation and the intercessory prayer team. My cousin Darla is going to need surgery for a kidney stone. My cousin Karla is still recovering from knee replacement surgery, but is getting stronger.
